Trusting God’s Timing: Seeing Beauty in Every Season



There’s a powerful truth in Ecclesiastes 3:11—“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

Really? Everything?


We’ve all walked through seasons that felt anything but beautiful—times of loss, waiting, uncertainty, or pain. And yet, this verse doesn’t just mention the good and easy moments; it acknowledges even the hardest ones and still affirms that beauty can be found there. Maybe the key isn’t in changing our circumstances but in shifting how we view our lives.


Time is Not Slipping Away

Too often, we see time like sand slipping through an hourglass—moments that pass too quickly, opportunities that feel lost, or seasons that seem wasted. But time isn’t something we are losing; it is something God is holding. The One who created time itself is not governed by it, and He holds your days securely in His hands.


Think about Jesus. He walked this earth in human form, yet He was never rushed. He didn’t start His public ministry until He was 30, and in just three short years, He fulfilled His divine assignment. If Jesus, the Son of God, wasn’t stressed by time, then perhaps we, too, can learn to trust the timing of the One who stands outside of it.

Moses prayed in Psalm 90:12, “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” This tells us something important: we can count our days incorrectly. We can believe time has run out when, in reality, we are just getting started.


Capturing Moments, Not Just Counting Minutes

What if, instead of worrying about time slipping away, we focused on capturing the moments God is giving us?

This month, I encourage you:

  • Don’t count minutes—capture moments.

  • Don’t waste days worrying—find beauty in them.

  • If it’s time to let go, trust that there’s beauty in release.

  • If it’s time to speak up, know that beauty can echo in your words.


Take time to reflect: What time is it for me?


Maybe this is a time for uprooting, planting, speaking up, or surrendering something. Whatever season you’re in, trust that God wants to mark it with beauty.

  • In the release, you will find increase.

  • In courage, you will discover new confidence.

  • In pain, there is the promise of a greater purpose.

God doesn’t waste time, and He certainly won’t waste your season.


Hesitation Could Be Preservation

I’ve learned something powerful about hesitation: it’s often a form of divine protection.

Have you ever felt unsure about making a move? Maybe you wanted to jump on an opportunity, follow a trend, or say yes to something—but deep down, you felt unsettled. More often than not, when I have hesitated and didn’t have full peace, that thing ended up not being right for me anyway.


This is because peace is our protection. If you don’t have peace, don’t proceed.


10 Ways to Discern the Peace of God

If you’re wondering whether you’re walking in God’s peace, here are 10 ways to know:

  1. Peace produces joy and right living.

  2. Peace reduces double-mindedness.

  3. Peace produces the fruit of the Spirit.

  4. Peace propels you forward—fear paralyzes you.

  5. Peace is deep-seated, not fleeting.

  6. Peace brings rest to your mind; anxiety creates unrest.

  7. Peace causes you to stand firm.

  8. Peace comes without doubt.

  9. Peace is a person—God Himself.

  10. Peace surpasses natural understanding.

If your decision, season, or situation is filled with unrest, it may not be from God. He leads with peace, not confusion.


Living Beyond the Clock

I pray that you begin to see your time from God’s eternal perspective rather than a human, temporary one. When we trust His timing, we stop striving, stressing, and second-guessing—because we know He is in control.


Let’s remind our hearts of God’s faithfulness. Let’s lean into the adventure of a life not governed by a ticking clock but instead surrounded by His voice.

No matter what season you are in, God is with you. He has already gone before you, preparing the way. Your life is marked by Him and for Him, and every mark He leaves is beautiful.
