A born-and-raised Ohio girl with nothing more than kindness, grit and a dream, I’m proud to say I’ve created a life I’m obsessed with.
Through energetic speaking engagements, books, and coaching programs, I help people like you dream big and back it up with meaningful action to get results. From the age of 10 when I discovered, I was adopted; I’ve been insanely curious about human potential and what drives them. I wanted to know, what exactly is it that makes people genuinely happy, successful and creatively fulfilled? Why do some people struggle while others find a way to thrive, often despite the most challenging circumstances?
I was also passionate about a multitude of seemingly unconnected things: writing, storytelling, entrepreneurship, creativity, spirituality, fitness and philanthropy, just to name a few.
After a bumpy ride and a lot of angst trying to choose just one thing to be in life, I realized that my unusual combination of interests and skills was a strength, not a liability. As I navigated the NY streets at 18 trying to embody Kate Hudson at Fitness Magazine, I soon realized the “real world” was one I felt completely unprepared for. I took on an experiential education program, in Philadelphia that quite literally felt like MTV’S Real World; finding roommate, a place to live and a job all while taking classes and pretending not to be an anxious wreck.
I inherently knew that I was drawn to the media for its historic through-line of “informing the public good,” but despite another attempt at making the most out of my journalism degree working at a magazine, a radio station and a production company, I wasn’t striking that inner fulfillment gold.
After completing a graduate degree in film production and a life coaching certification, I realized my unusual combination of interests and skills was a strength, not a liability and slowly built a coaching business from the ground up.
I later became an "Employed Entrepreneur" because I didn’t have the mindset or skill set to thrive in independent business owner bliss. From a corporate trainer to a private foundation program manager by day and a writer and virtual business mentor by night, I’m undeniable proof that hustle and heart will set you apart.
In the last 10 years, I’ve awakened new curiosities. I’ve learned a heck of a lot about self-love, business, finding your tribe, empowerment, cleansing your environment, relationships, protecting your spirit, becoming resourceful despite your lack of resources, and doing what it takes to just freakin’ go for it. In the last eight years, I’ve had epic failures, disastrous relationships, business ideas that have gone up in flames, heart-wrenching experiences, and soul-crushing criticisms, all of which have caused me to second guess myself and my beliefs. I’ve almost thrown in the towel. But real change can only happen if you never give up. So I never did. I chose to keep getting up after life’s beat downs. I’ve trumped talent, had some powerful wins, and some knee-hitting moments of gratitude.
My commitment is to bring you the very best of what I’m living and learning while keeping it real and honest as I go. I carry the Midwest roots, NY hustle, Cali cool and Austin hospitality. So please don’t expect perfect polish but do expect thought-provoking ideas, timeless wisdom, some goofy antics and unwavering devotion to help you live your most expansive, expressive and meaningful life.
I’m thrilled we’re connected and excited about the journey ahead!
